Ceramic foam filter is just developed as a new type molten metal filters to decrease casting flaw and also as a catalyst carrier for Air Treatment in recent years, play a vital role in the metal casting and air treatment, where they are used to filter out impurities in molten metal to improve the quality and performance of the end product or decompose organic pollutants into pollution-free water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) to meet high environmental requirements.

Working Theory

The Alumina Ceramic Foam filter, as a Carrier,  plays a core role in the air purification. Under the irradiation of ultraviolet light, the photocatalyst is excited to generate electron hole pairs due to the absorption of light energy, that is, photogenerated carriers, and then quickly migrate to its surface and activate the adsorbed oxygen and water to produce photoactive groups with oxidation ability, such as active free hydroxyl radical (.OH) and superoxide anion radical ( O). These strong oxidizing groups can effectively decompose various organic compounds and some inorganic substances, destroy bacterial cell membrane and solidify virus protein, kill bacteria and decompose organic pollutants, and decompose organic pollutants into pollution-free water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2), so as to effectively degrade formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, TVOC and other pollutants in the air, It has high efficiency and wide disinfection performance, decomposes bacteria and viruses and harmless treatment.
